Music Review

This post might be more directed at Trent and Adamo...

I have recently purchased 2 new albums, Sky Blue Sky by Wilco, and Ryan Adams': Easy Tiger. I think these are the best albums that either groups have out out so far. I was hesitant in buying the wilco album, because traditionally i think wilco is kinda sucky, but now they have a totatlly different sound than what i'm used to. They now play more of an original American rock and roll kinda thing. It really suits them and wilco should run with this new guitarist because some of his solos in sky blue sk are what make this album sweet. I give sky blue sky a 4/5 Stars.

As for Easy Tiger...This album has elements of some of his previous records. What i mean to say is that they're are songs that are similar to stuff from cold roses, others that are like Heartbreaker, and then some more that resemble stuff from Gold or jacksonville city nights. Im going to say this is my favorite album of his, easily surpassing his rock record "Rock N' Roll" which i know trent and other think is dumb, but i kinda liked it. While reading an online review of the album i read something i really liked and i cant say it any better than this "Easy Tiger has a sound of man catching his second wind, growing older, slower...and better"

I told adam to buy these records last night so i know he wont have any input soon, but trent, what do you think...and for Devin and rachel, i think i saw some ryan adams on your ipod once, i think Easy tiger would be a good addition to your jogging playlist.
ps - as an end note i realized a relationship that exists within good music and bad. That is that many artist such as Avril Laveene, Justin Timberlake, Kelly Clarkson, Fall Out Boy and other groups that people listen to on the radio get WORSE over time and always fizzle out, whereas, what i like to call the more "Genuine Artists" like Ben Harper, Ryan Adams, Wilco, and Whiskeytown only get BETTER over time.
I suppose there is no substitute for being GENUINE and having awsome talent, not even having hot bodies and manufactured voices.
